Overnight lodge tours start at R$ 1,400 per person (≈ US$ 255) for 2 days and 1 night. Prices are per person, in Brazilian reais, with a minimum of two guests. Price is usually the first question people ask us, and the hardest one to answer from most websites. Many operators list a "from" price and leave the rest for later. This guide does the opposite: it shows what each of our Amazon jungle tours costs, in reais and US dollars, what you get for that price, and what you will still need to pay for on your own, so you can compare honestly before you write to anyone.

Dollar amounts are approximate, converted at the Central Bank of Brazil rate of R$ 5.48 per US$ on 4 November 2026; prices are set in reais, so the final amount in your currency depends on the exchange rate on the day.

What is included in the price
The tour price covers everything that happens from the moment we collect you until we drop you back. On every tour, that means:
- Transfers: pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Manaus, or at the airport.
- All transport during the tour: vehicle, speedboat and regional canoe, as the itinerary requires.
- Your guide: a bilingual guide, plus a native naturalist on the lodge tours. Guides speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and German.
- Activities and entrance fees: everything described in the itinerary, including park and reserve fees.
- Mineral water throughout the tour, and a safety kit and first aid on every activity.
On multi-day tours you also get accommodation and full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Nights are spent at our partner lodges in the Mamori and Juma region, in air-conditioned rooms: a simpler lodge on Standard, a newer and more comfortable one on Premium. Some routes add nights at a jungle camp, sleeping in hammocks: one night on the Jungle Retreat and The Full Amazon, and three on the Amazon Expedition.
Day tours include lunch, with one exception: on the Presidente Figueiredo trip, lunch is bought on site at Lagoa Cristalina. That tour does include rubber boots for the cave trail and all entrance fees.
Extra costs: what is not included
These costs sit outside every tour price, so plan for them separately:
- Flights to and from Manaus, and airport taxes.
- Hotel nights in Manaus before and after the tour.
- Travel insurance. We strongly recommend a policy that covers medical evacuation.
- Alcoholic drinks.
- Tips and personal expenses, such as souvenirs.
A few day tours have small extras of their own. On Pink Dolphins & Anavilhanas, breakfast, additional drinks and local handicrafts are not included. On Presidente Figueiredo, as above, lunch is not included.
Standard or Premium: what changes
The Amazon Lodge, the Jungle Lodge Expedition and the Jungle Retreat are offered at two levels, Standard and Premium. The Full Amazon has Standard rooms and a Premium / Private option, and the Amazon Expedition runs only as a Premium / Private trip.
- Standard is a small shared group of up to 8 guests. Activities, guides and transport are shared with the group, and you stay at a simpler lodge. It is the best price for the same itinerary.
- Premium is private: the guide, the transport and the activities are for your group only, and you stay at a newer, more comfortable lodge.
The itinerary is the same at both levels. Choose Standard if you are happy to share the boat with other travellers; choose Premium if you want your own pace, more comfort, or are travelling as a family or a couple who would rather not join a group.
Why prices are per person, from two guests
Most of what a trip costs us is the same whether one or two people come: the boat, the fuel, the guide's time. That is why tours are priced per person with a minimum of two guests. If you want a room to yourself, each level has a single-occupancy rate, shown in small type in the table above. Travelling alone? Write to us with your dates and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
How to budget the whole trip
To estimate the full cost of an Amazon trip from Manaus, add up:
- The tour price from the table above.
- Flights to Manaus (MAO). From Europe and North America, most routes connect through São Paulo.
- At least one hotel night in Manaus if your flight arrives the day before the tour. If you land on the day, send us your arrival time and we will tell you whether it works with the pickup.
- Travel insurance with medical evacuation cover.
- Vaccinations: yellow fever is strongly recommended for the Amazon. Check with a travel clinic 4–6 weeks before departure.
- Drinks, tips and souvenirs.

How to compare prices between operators
Search for Amazon tours from Manaus and you will find 3-day lodge trips listed from around US$ 300 to over US$ 600 per person. The headline number rarely tells you what you are comparing. Before choosing, check:
- Group size: a shared group of 8 and a private trip are very different experiences at very different prices.
- Room and comfort: is the room air-conditioned, private or shared, and what does a single room cost?
- Transfers: is the airport and hotel pickup included, or charged on the day?
- Meals and water: full board from the first day, or only some meals?
- Guides: who guides you, in which language, and is there a local naturalist as well?
- Entrance fees and activities: are park fees and every activity in the itinerary covered?
Our prices answer all of these up front, and the guide who replies to your message can confirm anything else before you book.
