This one day Amazon experience is designed for travelers who want to feel the forest beyond a quick photo stop. The route combines the Rio Negro, the Ariau River area, forest trails, wildlife observation and local river culture in a practical day trip from Manaus.
The pace is immersive but accessible, with a native guide helping visitors read the landscape, understand the biodiversity and enjoy the Amazon with respect for wildlife and the natural rhythm of the waters. Departure is at 07:30 and return is scheduled for 18:30.
The day begins at 07:30. We cross the impressive Rio Negro bridge and follow the AM-070 road for approximately 36 km, observing the transition from the city landscape toward the forest region.
From there, we board a 15 HP motorized canoe and navigate through rivers and channels of the region, entering a quieter Amazon landscape shaped by water, forest and local life.
The experience continues with a guided jungle walk led by a native guide, offering a rich and conscious reading of the forest, its biodiversity and its natural cycles.
Along the route, there is observation of monkeys and birds in their natural habitat, always respecting the animals’ space. We then continue toward the Anavilhanas islands, one of the largest river archipelagos in the world.
The day includes a stop for swimming at a freshwater beach on the Rio Negro, an ideal moment to relax and contemplate the scale and silence of the Amazon river landscape.
Lunch is served as a regional picnic, with grilled fish and mineral water, keeping the experience simple, local and connected to the route.
The route continues through igarapes and igapos, unique environments that reveal the dynamics of Amazon waters. The day ends with traditional piranha fishing, a cultural activity typical of the region.
